Platy acting sick

I have a sick platy, but I'm not sure what's wrong with her.

About two weeks ago I noticed her wedged between the driftwood and gravel in my 55 gallon tank. I assumed she was dead, so I went to get the net and came back to find her swimming around again. This has happened a few times since then, but not within the past day or two.

It looks like she is trying to eat, but she's skinnier now than she was last week. The other platies are starting to pick on her (took a bite out of her tail), so I moved her to a breeding net until my 20 gallon finishes cycling (a couple more days).

No signs of disease that I can see -- nothing out of ordinary with the gills and rest of the body.

Tank readings are currently: 78F, 0ppm nitrates, 0ppm nitrites, 8ppm nitrates

The tank has 6 platies, 10 neon tetras, 1 yoyo loach, and 1 pleco

Hopefully someone can help me

Thanks

Nope, the tetras and pleco keep to themselves, and the loach is usually hiding.

Thanks for the welcome

Welcome to Fish Lore
I'm really sorry about your fish. You did the right thing by moving her so she won't get picked on anymore.
What's your m/f ratio?
At this point just keep her water clean and warm and keep your eye on her for some definite symptoms.

Good luck, I hope she bounces back.

All of them are females.

She seems to be a bit happier now that she's alone. No fin clamping since I moved her.

Hopefully things will get better. Thanks for the help

She didn't make it through last night

Good news is, none of the others are acting any differently, so hopefully nothing else was affected.

Thanks again for the help and welcome
