Pregnant Platy HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!????

I bought 2 platies from walmart two weeks ago. (I know you're not supposed to buy from walmart, but she was pregnant and looked about ready to pop when I was buying filter cartridges, so I couldn't leave her.) I have a male, Luigi, and a female, Peach. I had a third, but when she dropped her fry she died Peach and Luigi are in a 14 gallon tank with my male betta, Jaws. Jaws LOVES them. He swims with them, (or at least tries to, but he is way too slow) and builds bubble nests in the tank, even though the filter sucks them in. Anyways, I want to protect Peach's fry, but I no money so I can't buy a smaller tank for her. I've tried a breeding net before with my third and now dead platy, but she got really stressedt so I let her out. I already put a net over the filter so the babies won't be sucked up, and I added a rock formation that has a cave in it, but the entrance is tiny. Are there any more ways I can protect Peach's fry If needed, I can move Jaws into a 1 gallon fishbowl until the fry are big, but he loves all the space to swim and has just recovered from a long battle with fin rot Is Jaws (the betta) going to be fast enough to catch the fry, or are the two platies going to be the only predetors?? Thanks in advance.

Ok, Thanks. I just bought some wisteria from pet and planted in my tank. IT is growing like crazy. Will wisteria protect them, or should I buy some java moss. I'll probably have to order it, because where I live the closest petco is 30 minutes away.
we have a walmart, but it is closing down and they don't sell java moss either. I'm going to petco on the fifteenth since i have to be in the town for a flute lesson, but when i was there last, Petco didn't sell java moss either.

Please don't put your betta in a 1g bowl. It's not a suitable home for a betta especially one recovering from fin rot.
I don't know if anyone has provided his link to our Betta Care Guide
It's quite possible Jaws will be able to get the fry.

Ok. I wasn't going to put him into the bowl unless it was absolutly nessecary. When I first tgot Jaws he was in atiny little cup like 5 inches across. He was really sick, but now he is as healthy as ever. I think this will be Peach's first batch of fry. How many will she have Will some survive?

Put lots plants in your tank for the fry to hide in. You could also try to take a net to scoop up the fry and put them in the breeder net after the mother has dropped them.
