I've just arrived home with 3 of the biggest Platies I have ever seen! They were dropped into my LFS today by someone. I called in on the way back from work and there they were, so I offered to give them a good home. Theres one Male and two Females. The Male is far bigger than any of my current Platies, but he's nothing to the Girls, one of whom must be the biggest Livebearer I've ever seen. I'll try and get a pic.

The first pic is the smaller of the two new Girls. The fish on the left is one of my regular 2 inch breeding Platies. The second pic is the biggest girl. Thats a 10 inch breeder trap shes in!

I would say: you sure it isn't a Molly.
But it's a Platy alrighty. She would win best in show at a county fair
She's twice the size of the other one!

Ive got a platy that size too!!! ill post a pic...
they are nearly 3" long and their height is a bit less than an inch, but i deffinately havent overfed them

my platies are like that too...I just thought thats how all platies were...mine are at least 2 inches with a gut like a sumo LOL ...

OOooo they are totally awesome! My blue platy's are about that size, the twin bar, and sunburst are smaller. Very good looking platy for sure!
