| | Fish Keeper | Missing fish. Until this morning, I had two beautiful male red wag Platies.
Now I have one.
The other one is nowhere to be found.
Not around the tank.
Not outside of the tank, anywhere.
Not in the filter.
Not in the heater compartment.
Not in the dual filtration compartments.
Not under an ornament.
Not in a plant.
Not in the light fixtures.
Not eaten by any other fish.
WHERE IS HE!
AAAH! |

| | Fish Keeper | ..this can't be a riddle.. The other fish has to be somewhere. Any ornanments that they can swim into and up? When taking out ornaments such as caves etc the pressure can suck them up inside. Hope you find the little one! |

Maybe I imagined him? |

| | Fish Bum | I had something similar happen.. Couldn't locate one of my 4 Platies for three days, searched everywhere for him, even thought that somehow one of my cats got him though it didn't look like the hood had been moved... He suddenly reappeared this morning looking fine and happy. Don't know where he was hiding, but he seemed to do a good job.. |

| | Fish Bum | I'm worried about one of my Platys as well. She was born in January, so she isn't quite full grown yet. I haven't seen her in two days. Strange how our fish just seem to disappear... |

I have an entire tank full of thirty, and they just live in their java moss until I feed them. Silly fishies. |

| | Moderator | I hope your fish is in the tank somewhere. It has to be frustrating for you I'm sure. When I added a Rainbow Shark, I didn't see it for 6 weeks (in my 155g). I even rearranged the tank, vacuumed, did a water change and still didn't see it. Then one day he just appeared and is fine. I hope you have the same luck. |

| | Fish Keeper | Deary me! I still haven't found him, I'm doing my weekly maintainance today, so hopefully I'll find him in the back of the tank under the filtration foam hopefully.
And Sharks are cheeky little fish!
Mine lives in the heater compartment for some reason, but she's been behaving a lot better since she set up camp in there! |

| | Fish Helper | I went on vacation for a week and when I came back three fish were missing: a small male guppy and two blue platies, a male and a pregnant female. My aunt said one of the platies died. That still leaves a platy and a guppy unaccounted for. I assume they died and a snail or pleco ate them. There were no remains left at all. I didn't know they could eat bones. Or, maybe the aliens carried them up in their spaceship. lol! Stupid fish aliens! |

Generally posting in a thread that hasn't had any replies in over a month is the limit. Thank you. |
