If platy follow the same path as swords (which I believe they do), watch for the following:

Just before labor, her 'torso' will become rather boxy, and her bottom line will be flat except for her vent. She'll be hanging around plants or other safe places in the tank, and avoiding the other fish. I'm not sure if it's common, but the day or two before my sword went into labor she avoided the other fish to the point of forgoing food.

okay thanks! all three (2 f 1m) are still schooling together and where one goes they all follow so she hasnt started the seperation or hiding yet from the others. one female is significantly larger than the other female but not boxed shape yet but ill def keep an eye out for it! thanks again!!

look behind the anal fin and when that area gets all red in color and you can see little black dots, she is going to have her babys within the next couple of night, but dont put the mom in the breeder she will get really stressed and abort her birth, and they will sometimes die, best just to have lots of hiding spots in yuor tank and cover yuor filter with some sort of old net, like the lining from it so the fry dont get sucked up
