WHat disease is this?

I bought some dwarf platy about a month ago and all seemed fine until i bought some new 5 neon tetras to the tank. Its a 10 gallon tank and all seemd fine but now for some reason, one of the platys is acting very larthargic. SHe just swims under the filter, stays at the top or hides behind the plants. Normally, when the platys see me, they pratically jump out of the water and beg for food but she just hides even more. I also noticed a a small green spot next to her pectoral fins (she a coral reef sunset platy so shes supposed to be all orange!!!)

WHat wrong with her?
A few months before this, I had a white platy that had the same traits. I put some betta fix remedy in the tank (I had a betta at the time with finrot) And the green spot went away and the platy became active again. Both the white platy and the betta are gone now but now this new orange platy is showing the same traits.

I dont know the exact water paramters yet but the temp averages at about 75 degrees F. The tank should be fully cycled for its been active for a bout a year. I clean 10% of water every Tuesday and 20% every Saturday with a gravel vac. Thanks yuou

It may be a bacterial infection. It seems like a few people are having problems when they introduce neons. Are all of the other fish acting fine? Maybe you could quarintine teh platy & medicate it by itself.

Check the ammonia.
Adding the neons would have increased the bio load in the tank..
Get a test kit and test the water.
For now I would do a 30% WC daily until you get a test kit.
I feel that the 10g is a bit over stocked

It could be te bioload. I didnt intruduce them to quickly. I took out 2 neons and took them back because I too felt that maybe I overstocked. Theres also 2 ghost shrimps and X amount of malaysian trumpet snails that I purposly put in the tank. I also just put in a handful java moss. I do believe that perhaps it is a biolaod problem. In case it is a bacterial infection, What medications would you suggest? The other fish appear to be doing ok. Thank yo

evyerhting seemed fine but now the green spot has returned and the same platy is being lathargic and freaks out when i appear to the tank. This suddenly occured when i removed the amazon sword from the tank and replaced it with a red ludwigia (Ludwigia repens.) now whats wrong with her? Soon, im going to take out the neon tetra and put it another female platy

do you have a test kit ? what are your ammonia , nitrites, and nitrates? even tho the tank has been running for a year, you could have a mini cycle on your hands ....

That could be right but how does that explain the green spot? It may also have something to do with my neon tetras. I also noticed an usual "zit" like bumb on the lower part of their mouth

Testing (pH, ammonia, nitrite) will reveal if water is the culpit and if it is, can avoid further complication by correcting water condition.
The green spots: Google for Argulus to compare.. Captive bred Neons form SE Asia are known to harbor these critters. Lets hope it is not.
