do platies breed even if they are a diffrent type like would a Tuxedo breed with a Micky Mouse any thoughts?

Platies are platies no matter which colour you have and the different colours will interbreed with each other as well as with swordtails.

Yes. I have some mixed breeds of platy fry right now. there are three, and one looks exactly like the mom, one looks like the dad with the mom's black spots, and the other looks just like the dad!

its like breeding rabbits. Whether its a Dutch or a Flemish Giant, they'll still produce offspring (and birthing time always happens when you least expect it )
