After having bad luck with other fish i got platys. when will i be able to tell if one get pregnat? can different colors breed? wat do u feed your platys? thanks

When they get pregnant, you can usually tell. Different colors can breed. We feed ours cyclo-peeze flakes or omega one veggie flakes.

thanks alot i jus got them one is fat! i cant get a good look at that fin. wat size can the breed?

When your platy is close to having her babies, she'll get square looking at her back end.

by back end u mean tummy? can u post a pic? btw i see her black spot.

Back around where she poops will start to look squarish as she gets close. I don't have any pics of this, but maybe some of our other members do.

ok thanks. she went in the breeders net on her a lil bit ago. looks to be sqauring out to me. she prego when i saved her from wal mart! they had here in with dragonfish things.

Walmart is worse than petco or petsmart in the fish dept.

i live in a small town with one other store. i was in there shopping and they jus put her in the tank.

All we had in my hometown was a petco. The walmart there doesn't carry fish. I'm glad you were there to rescue her.
