When will she drop the fry?

My female platy, is pregnant i believe, either that or extreemly fat. her belly is pretty large and is kind of squaring off(just barely started to square off yesterday) about how long until the fry come?(assuming she is pregnant, she is the fattest fish in the tank, she's fatter than sparta who is HUGE, sparta is almost 3 inches. might be like a jumbo platy lol)

oh and she isnt super duper big or anything. just sort of big in general. also, when should i move her? i dont know how close she is to dropping, so i dont want to move her unless i'm sure.

She's very close if she's squaring off and too close to move. It would be risky for her and the fry now.

hmm. well i have a little breeder net that she actually enjoys swimming into. i was trying to put my naughty platy in there earlier while i moved the tank around and she wouldnt stop going in it. so it'd be dangerous even if she goes in on her own?

If she goes in on her own and isn't stressed, it should be fine. It's the stress that causes the harm to them. I'd feed her normally really.

okay, i let the breeder net float in there and she was around it. so a very gradually pulled it up(using a pully sytem) and she went inside so i gave her a minute to figure it out, then pulled it up all the way and latched it on. she seems to be fine. theres a little plant in there for her to nibble on if she wants(they like to nibble my plants every once in a while)

Good luck with her. Hopefully she'll drop in the next day or 2.
