We have a Taj Mahal in the aquarium (daughter picked it out).

The fish seem to like it, but a few days ago I saw them "headbutting" it.

I looked closer, and it seemed like they were actually "kissing" it.

Then, when I fed them later, I realized it was the *exact* same movement they made when eating their flakes.

So are they trying to eat their home/decoration?

I've looked subsequently, and it *does* appear that they're trying to eat the thing like a gingerbread house.....

Could there be algae on the decoration? Many fish will pick at algae.

Platys love to nibble on aquarium decor. They're looking for real tiny algae type stuff.

Ya thats normal. They eat stuff we cant even see, keeps your decorations nice and clean
