I bought 3 platies 2f and 1m and lost the male within2 days. The
LFS gave me another and the next day, he died along with one of the females. My cardinals are fine, they have been in the tank now for 3 weeks along with my BN Pleco.
I have been getting conflicting readings between Interpet
test kit and
API master test kit. The latter has been showing the same readings now for 10 days, those being:
ammonia-.25,
nitrite-0 and
nitrate-10 (todays was 5). Can't get a 0 reading ammonia, is this reading dangerous?
I thought Cardinals were the sensitive ones, why are my Platies dying?
Incidently the surviving platy has been giving birth already.
