OKolor=Blue]Ok here it goes. I have a total of 7 platy. I research on the web and found that they like to be in schools. What I didn't find out was how to tell the sex and just found that i was sold 2 females and 5 males. They are all swimming around together but i have one male who likes to sit back in the corner and just hover. Is this normal? Is it ok to keep them with this ratio?? Also have 5 bleeding heart tetras that I have no idea what they are Can anyone help me here[/color]

Its probably best to keep more females but if there is no bullying problems its ok. That platy may be getting bullied or is sick

J-man, is right, but it would help to know the size of your tank, and the ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates.

Watch the sick fellow carefully, and if needed separate and medicate him...

it should be ok. Make shur that there are hiding places in the tank for them
