Ok so earlier today I was thinking that one of my 3 pictus that I just got might not be doing so well. I have monitored all 3 as much as i can and I am not sure if he is sick or not? 2 of them chase each other around have a dark grey body and a few spots around the tail area. The other just sits right around a hole in a rock.

He does come and eat and i find him swimming a little. I really only notice him swimming when someone comes in his territory. So do you think he is ok?

there in a 40 gal, ammonia 0, nitrates 5ppm, nitrites 0ppm, pH 7.5 water temp 78

Yeah, he is fine. I had two Pictus at one time and they both had their own cave, lol! They would chase intruders out....and after a week of having them they started to venture out....but I lost them to a disease. They are great fish to have. Enjoy!

yea I meant to edit my post yesterday. I see mine only stays on the bottom after a good eating. After about 10 15 min he is back out going all over the place..I just wasnt sure since the other 2 didnt seem to do this.
