pictus are great fish..and never ever sit still...but, with the rts, there will be territory issues and he will pick on them I had to remove my pictus from the rts tank as he wouldnt tolerate another bottom dweller

whats a tbs? lol

You should know that pictus cats do best in groups so buying "a" pictus wouldn't be the best thing for the fish. Also, barbs are apparently on PlanetCatfish's "bad tankmates" list for this species.

Most barbs are no good company as they tend to nip fins and barbels

They should be kept in (small) groups. Most singly kept specimens will pine away eventually.

a pictus is too fast for a barb..but yes I agree they do like to be 2 or more...im more worried about the shark hurting the pictus

Ah, Pictus is a fav of mine! They have barbs on their fins and get caught in fish nets cause of it so be careful if you get one!!! Use a plastic cup to catch them so you wont get them stuck in the net and hurt them is my suggestion. I had two at one point and they are a very active fish!!! They would play in the bubbles! I'm lookin into gettin a few more hopefully tomorrow for my 55 gal.
