I wonder about the loach.
Your tank looks fantastic. Do you still have amonia in your tank? A trace can do a number on the fish that died.
Sorry for your troubles.

According to your aquarium info, you have 1.0 of ammonia. You'd have to detoxify the ammonia with a bottle of prime before it's safe to add more fishes.

Your stocking list is okay but I'd suggest adding one more neon. I don't know about the loach either so wait for another member with experience for the loach. IMO, you don't have enough room for the kribs unless you keep up with daily water changes and you have a good filter.

Try this stocking list, my suggestion.

6 Neon Tetras
6 Skunk Cories
3 Fancy Guppies (all males)

Best of luck!

Hi koast.

Your tank is lovely.

I don't recommend adding any fish until your tank is finished re-cycling. As little as .25 PPM ammonia can kill fish. I agree with Peacemaker that Prime and frequent pwc will make the tank safe for your current fish. Do you know what caused that ammonia spike?

Corydoras are schooling fish, so a minimum of 3, but preferably 6 is best. The bubble goby you mention - are you referring to the green bubble goby? That's a marine fish; it will very quickly die in freshwater. Dojo loaches are very sociable with others of their kind and shouldn't be kept singly. They reach about 6", so I'm not sure if you have room for a few of them or not, and the bottom would be especially crowded with the corydora school.

i bought some 6 black neon last week and i couldn't quarantine them because my krib was or still in my quarantine tank. so i just put the in my tank the next day 2 blackneon look bad and die and later on 1 more die so i had 3 black neon and taook it back to the LFS. i think those black neon was the cause death to my neon..
