My new addition

I just wanted to show off my newest addition to my aquarium. It’s a Farlowella Twig catfish. Anyone keeping these and like to comment on them please do so. Any tips on how to keep these guys will be appreciated.

Above is some information I found. They look like a neat fish. I've never had them myself so I can't give you any personal information. Good luck!

I looked at the link Aquarist posted. Seems like he'll fit right in.

Thanks, this one happens to be a female. I am going to get one more female and one male. I read somewhere that the males will fight resulting in the smallest of the two to die.

Sounds like an interesting fish! But the pet stores around me don't sell it.

That is one elegant looking fish. Just from what I see in the thumbnail! Are they hard to come by?

I kept one for a few years and it was one of my favorite fish. Mine spent all day out in the open, grazing on algae. These fish are slow-moving, extremely passive, and easily outcompeted for food, so mine mainly lived off the tank I suppose. If you ever have to catch yours for some reason, don't net it. They're so delicate they can be injured that way. Mine was so laid back that when I moved it to a new tank, it allowed me to just pick it up bare-handed, behind the head. When I lost my farlowella, it was easily 7 inches TL and I had kept it for several years. It was one of my toughest losses.
