Right there with ya! We don't live in the boonies, but being a single Mom, it sometimes feels like we do. My dogs are our first line of defense if anyone is outside. They're great alarm systems and can make anyone re-think breaking into our home. They also make great babysitters when the Princess wants to stay home and I have to go out. Both dogs would give their lives for either myself or her, but I honestly hope they never have to.
Our fish have really made things easier and helped me cope with the ex leaving. Our other animals each have their own way of re-making this house into a home again.
Those of us with pets are truly, truly blessed.
Thanks everyone! I'll see to it that she is pampered when it's all said and done. She's been a good sport through it all. She's happy for now. She's had rib bones the past couple of days.
