hi guys sorry to use thread as base but i have a question my ph has been balanced at 7.6 the last 3 wekks and now dropped to 6.4 is there any reason for this if so please let me know how to resolve this matter many thanks

Is your tank cycled? How long has it been set up? What is your maintenance routine? If you have gravel, do you vacuum under your decorations? Hopefully not, but it could possibly be old tank syndrome.

Gilly, this old tank syndrome article may not apply to your tank, but it does have very good information about the water changes, which can be followed regardless of what is happening, it should help.

In addition to the good questions from Gunnie....How is the water circulation in your tank? Do you use an airstone?

my tank is just about cycled now and i clean tank well i also clean in the gravel ....my ph is fine now im wondering whether the works outside were responsible as they are fixing water mains

It's very possible. Chickadee has trouble with her water parameters in the summertime.
