What does PH decreaser do?

The pH in my new tank is 7.6 and I want to use Top fin Ph decreaser(because I have it for some reason) but it doesn't say on the bottle if it makes the water more acidic or more basic.

If you're lowering the pH, you're making the water more acidic than it was before. But I really would advise against messing with pH; it will cause stress to your fish.

Curious why do you want to lower your pH. You can do it naturally with driftwood.
Here's some info about
Changing your pH

if your aquarium info is correct, you are still in the cycling phase and the ph will change a bunch of times while it cycles...as the others said, ph usually isnt an issue with most fish as long as its stable and doesnt change drastically which is what the ph decreaser would do...ph up does the same thing and isnt recommend either...crushed coral usually will help that ....do you have particular fish you want to keep with a lower ph?

My tank is cycling so hopefully my ph will change. I want to keep a blue crayfish in the tank until it gets bigger.
