Yes, the crushed coral will put minerals into the water that will raise the hardness as well. another tip to help your hardness, stay away from products like stress coat, stress zyme and go with novaquel+ and amaquel +.

well i am going to start with 1/4 cup and see what that dose to my kh and ph.
i will be doing daily test to see where it is at and i will post the results for all the are interested.

current readings before adding the coral were

kh-0
ph-6 or under

yesterday my ph was 6.4 and i did a 25% water change today also and it still went down and my tap water has a ph of 7.6

not to sound rude but can any one really advise me on how much crushed coral to put in my filter or is it just add a little and wait for results? and if its not enough just add a little more till you get it to where you want it?

Yes, start with a little.....then go from there. It wont take much I believe. I have clam shells in my tank and it only took a few to help with the buffering.

a lot of my problem with my ph being low is because of the blog wood in my tank and the kh really is none in my tap water so that why its 0.0!
