| Yeah!!!!!! Congrats Shawnie. Beautiful! Keeping my fingers crossed! All of my Bloody Parrots (BP) are going nuts and spawning all over the place. I watched 2 females lay eggs last night. It was a fight to see which male got to fertilize the eggs. I found 4 BP's crammed into the terracotta urn last night all of them trying to play King of the Roost. lol
You have such beautiful fish. Thanks for sharing and again good luck!

| ty everyone
well day 3 and still both are fanning their fins away..eggs are tan and no whites ...but who knows....im sure I should be seeing some type of change in the eggs by now but again, never seen a successful parrot spawning ...I have built them their own cave like protection around there flower pot and I target feed mom n pops (or moms) so they dont get hungry on their eggs LOL ... | The kids are just awesome! Great photos! Yes, thank you Shawnie I have that as one of my book marks. Some of my BP eggs didn't start turning white until day 3 and another spawn day 4. I expect your next photos to be wrigglers! Sending you good fish vibes!

| That's super cute. What color would the eggs be if they were fertile.
Interesting question, I've read that the males are infertile. If that's true, where do the Parrots come from?
Edit: Wow I typed slow. BB answered my question about the color. |

| Fun news! It would be great to see a successful BP spawn! My pair lay eggs that quickly turn white
My LFS had a breeding pair of BPs but the babies that lived for a while were always deformed and some had no eyes. It eventually got too sad to watch the babies suffer so they separated the pair. Sad but true story... |
