Good morning. The spawns that I've had the eggs were tan in color and once they turned white they were eaten.

Lucy you know these are a hybrid species?

no whites yet and not eaten yet but no wigglers either LOL ...who knows as I cant find any buddies locally whose bred them ..and grimly thats very normal for these hybrid fish unfortunately and for br's it depends on how many generations down the line the male is from or if he is the direct male thats been injected with hormones...to strenthen the male sperm, you actually need 2-3 generations down to have a good healthy male...and I Have zero info on my male so who knows....

no LOL but still tan eggs throughout..I would imagine if they were going to hatch, they would have by now? think my pH might be too high for them and such ..who knows

hmmmm you're right it's hard to say. I just figured my pH was way too high for the eggs to hatch even if I did have a fertile male. We'll see. Maybe we'll both be surprised one of these days
