im am very proud of myself, i stuck with it and all my fish are alive and thriving, and to let you know adding salt to the aquarium helped my parrot fish , they now have a brighter color and longer fins. they are more active then ever after i added the salt. so i recommend if you have parrot fish, add some aquarium salt.
Hello luvlee. I do like to have a 'very small" trace of fresh water aquarium salt in there as well. I do not add any where near the amount suggested on the salt box though. Mine have done very well with it over the years. Some members use it and some do not. Remember salt does not evaporate so be careful not to over dose.
