Angel in 55 G and Parrot cichlid w/ angel

both me and my co-host from america's next top fishkeeper are planning some cichlid(s) in our tanks for a display in our show. Mine is a 55 G long (4ft L X 12 in W X 10 in. H) and hers is about 125 gallons. we both have a question:

My question: Can I add an angelfish in my 55 g Long. knowing they grow in height as well as length, will one be okay in my tank based on the given info.

Her question: I plan to keep a cichlid only tank if possible. I like angels alot. will they be compatible with blood red cichlids? If not what are some compatible fish with blood red cichlids

I have an angel fish in my 55g tank with blood red parrots (2). I keep them with Discus, rainbow fish, cardinal tetras, striped raphael catfish, angel fish and a bolivian ram and I can say from my experience that I have had no problems with them in the tank with these fish.
I would not advice putting an angel fish in a tank that was only 10 inches high tho. I wouldnt put any parrots in that tank either tho, they do get large and I really dont think that your tank is high enough for the larger type fish.

TFA a tank 48x12x10 is 25g not55g sorry. So I would say no to the angel anyway if the tank is only 10 inches deep. Would make a sweet multi tank
Multi tank
I'm not sure about the other question since I know nothing about blood red parrot cichlids.

If your meaning that you want to keep an angel in with a parrot cichlid, that could be okay.

The only thing is that they have to be used to each other. Like if they were housed in the same tank together or if they were introduced to the tank at the same time then yeah your friend or you would be in good shape I was in a pet store here in Japan not too long ago, and they sold angelfishes and parrot cichlids together. They didn't kill each other like many other people would say that they would :P

I haven't kept angels and parrots together for a long time. So I don't have a lot of experience, but my friend has kept them together for years. not much of a new experience for him

Good morning. Here is a link to Bloody Parrots just in case you haven't seen it already.

They are a peaceful cichlid for the most part. Too, you have to remember they don't have the capability of defending themselves as other fish do. Their mouth is actually inside the beak area of the face. They aren't able to bite as other fish do. They will protect their own and respond to aggression as a group. (I have 11 of them and I'm telling you my experiences) I love them and they bring me so much joy.
Also, they do better when kept with a few of their own kind, they like terracotta pots to hide in (and as juvies they hide a LOT for the first few months). Good luck and keep us posted. (pictures in my profile if you want to see them) My largest one is 8.5" by 6".
