The first photo was my first pacu, a Black Pacu. In this pic, she (I am guessing when I say she) is about 20 inches long. She got to about 24 inches before she died during a move.
The next one is a red-belly and it did not survive to adulthood, also because of a move.
The last one is also a red-belly and he got to about 20 inches when he jumped out of the tank while I was at work.
The first one was my fav. She was smart and affectionate. Loved to be petted, ate from my hand. The red bellies were skittish and not as intelligent. I doubt I will own another red belly.
