Question: Will Pacu's be able to fit in with my angels in my 1,000 gallon tank?

Hello.

I was wondering, if Red Pacu's will be able to fit in with my angels, and other community fishes in my 1,000 gallon tank?? like I was just thinking of getting a few small red pacu, but I don't know yet.

I'm only good with healing fishes, and I only heard that pacus get so big that the owners will throw them into the local waterways. Just like how the forum admin Mike said.

Also, I have some other tanks too. Like my little 80 gallon tank, filled with a lot of plants, and some spiny eels.

If there are any good ideas for me. Please post them

Thank you xD

Red Bellied Pacu need 250g for the first one and 200g for each additional Pacu. Even though they love veggies and fruits they do eat insects and small fish in the wild so I would think your baby guppies would be in danger while the Pacu are small. After they get a little bigger the Angelfish and Gouramis may be eaten also. A friend of mine kept his Pacu in with an Arowana and a pleco. They, being large fish and eaters of lots of vegetation are large waste producers. They will eat plants also
Is the information in your profile that you have only an aquaclear 30 filter on this huge tank correct?
Carol
We would love to see pictures of this tank

No the aqua clear 30 is for my small 20 gallon tank I misplaced where it was supposed to be.

I have about 15 100 gallon aqua clear filters for my 1,000 gallon tank. It does help, but I have to siphon and do water changes on my tank very often.

I have had experiences with pleco's producing a lot of waste before, but if the silver dollar produces a lot of waste.. I might be in danger of having ammonia. Am I right?

I keep my tank in my basement trust me it's a room built for the tank. I could put a bigger one... but it is very expensive now and the glass is very thick.

I didn't believe them when they told me that it was 1,000g and I have no idea how they measure it... but my cousin wanted me to get it for him. So I bought it as a home decor, and so then I can look at the fishes when I get home from a bad day... but instead that I'm in Japan right now, I can only look at my betta.
