So when I thought my Pacu were piranha, I bought them a crayfish with one claw as a treat. I know, I know, I'm a heartless jerk! Well, this one clawed crayfish put up a surprisingly big fight and they've all lived together in harmony, respecting each-others boundaries ever since. The crayfish developed an amazing personality after the second day and the gf and I fell in love with the little keeper and named him Mr. Krabs. I went to the LFS and bought him his own piece of rock to lean up on the side for a cave which he made his home. Yesterday, when I woke up, his rock had been knocked over and he was hiding between that and the air-stone. I immediately fixed his home and that's where he hid for the remainder of the day. This sparked my concern a little, but I just figured the rock accidentally fell and Mr. Krabs was still scared. Just a few minutes ago, I went over to the aquarium to admire my beautiful baby Pacu, as I do 1,000,000 times a day and before I even got there, I noticed there was only one. As I approached the tank at lightning fast speed, I noticed the tail of Mr. Krabs flailing up and down out of the side of his cave. As Finnigan noticed me watching, he darted out of the home of Mr. Krabs and two the other side of the tank with his brother Jamison, like nothing ever happened. This is a very sad moment for the gf and I and a fascinating one for our three year old daughter.
Goodbye Mr. Krabs, you will be missed! May you rest in peace!
