ok so do ottos eat algae?..
and do ghost shrimp help clean up the tanks? or just cause more waste?

Yes oto's are little work horses when it comes to eating algae. A few of them can clean a tank in a matter of days. Ghost shrimp are scavengers and will eat left over food as well as algae wafers, but they aren't all that effective at cleaning algae.

The ghost shrimp will eat some algae though not as much as the otos. But they do eat fish waste and leftover food.

amano shrimp are better algae cleaners than ghost shrimp i think.. but i'll 3rd the motion that Otos are busy, busy workers.
