Hi Armadillo
I dont know if the otos would bother the Discus during breeding. Most likely the Discus would bother the otos, protecting the eggs and fry. I really dont know since Ive never raised any fry yet.
So thought Id just stay on the safe side, keep the tank cycled for the 'just in case' should happen. Keep no other fish with them when the time comes and see if I cannot raise some Discus fry. Sure would be nice. ... But I know that I have no experience in that field so no telling what may happen or NOT happen.

Aaaaaaah. I see. Ah well, you'll get your otos eventually, hey. Good luck with the discus breeding. Can't wait for your fry pictures! (getting ahead, I know)

Thanks, Joe. Yep, I think they look way prettier than our 'regular' affinis otos. Every day I thank my good fortune for my husband's taste in original fish! (so does our local fish store)

Just found Marble sitting at the front of the tank. I've had her for almost 2 years now I think.

Armadillo I think I'm going to have to come steal your zebra otos.
