I don't know what happened. He and his Otto buddy have been in the cycled 20g
FW for a couple of weeks now, and they'd been doing so well and having so much fun. They swam about and played like I've never seen them do before. I had them in a 6g for almost two years before putting them in the big tank. I was going to add some friends for them soon.
I had worried about feeding them their algae discs (by Omega) because they had so much algae to eat off of the plants, but I wonder if they needed those discs as well. I feel so badly, and I'm so sorry I didn't put a disc in just in case. His buddy looks fine and fat, but I put in an algae disc for him to snack on and if it's gone, will put in another one tomorrow.
I hope the lone Otto will be all right until I can get some new friends for him. I'd want to quarantine them for at least a week. I have 3 Kuhli Loaches and 4 Ghost Shrimp in the
QT tank right now, and I wanted to get them in the tank before adding anyone else to the QT. Do you think my lone Otto will be all right by himself for a week or two?

I have one that's been with me for over a month. I just bought 2 more today to buddy up with him. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll make it past the month mark. They are a more sensitive fishy, so you never know. Even with the best of care these things can happen.
