Upside down on surface of water?

Is this regular? I thought my Oto was dead. I thought it was weird that he wasn't dead floating around or stuck to a filter. I didn't touch him until I tested my water and everything's fine even though I did a huge water change yesterday. He was not moving, totally upside down on the surface of the water, still submerged of course. I recently stopped my airpump and redirected the flow of my two filters to the side so there is not much surface agitation for my betta.

I went to scoop him into a bottle cap and he flipped out and swam away. I am totally surprised and delighted.

Is this regular?

Hi Justice I moved your question to it's own thread so it doesn't get lost in the oto care sheet thread.

Actually, I was thinking of moving my siamese flying fox out of there because he beats on everyone else in there during feeding time. I notice the otos get the worst of it.

Awesome. I just saw one of the otos doing it again today and it looks like he's eating the algae of the surface.
