Zebra Otos with Regular Oto + Stocking

I currently have 1 regular oto as his friend died a week after I got him home. I'd like to get him 2 more friends, and was wondering if zebra otos would play with him as if they were the same. Also, is it acceptable to keep 3 otos with 2 gigantic (old) apple snails (bridges, usually grow to 2.5 inches, mine are 2.25 and 2.75) and 2 baby marble sized apple snails in a 10 gallon tank? If not, I can leave my 2 baby snails in their current 2.5 tank until they get bigger (unless I'm very lucky, I don't expect to have all 4 at full size at the same time). Thanks!

i'd be cautious about keeping that many brigs in a 10 gal tank unless you're prepared to do a lot of tank maint. the brigs (at least the ones i had) were basically poop machines! i think the recommended tank space was 5 gal/brig on applesnail.net

Snails can create quite a bio-load. It would be best to spread them throughout your many tanks. I'm sure the otos would school together well no matter what the exact species is.

Thanks for your replies - I got 2 new regular otos as I couldn't find zebras in stores and it'll be too cold too long to get them shipped for company (my one oto looked very sad alone). Brigs only need 2.5 gal each, but you're right that I need more space with the otos - they may all be moving to a 15 gal soon, or at least the otos will.
