Are my Chinese Algae Eaters really Otocinclus'?

I've had them for over a year and a half, and they are no more than two inches long. When I got them, I didn't know (didn't research enough-silly me-but also was not told by the guy who sold them to me) that Chinese Algae Eaters can get so big and often aggressive. Mine are not aggressive at all, though I only have Hatchet fish in the tank with them as of now.

Pictures would greatly help in IDing your fish.

If they are in a 6 gallon tank like your aquarium info states, they are probably stunted None of the fish that you have are suitable for a 6 gallon.

I am about to put them in a 20 gallon. I feel badly for keeping them in a small tank. The Hatchets are fairly large now, though.
Here are pictures of my Algae Eaters:

Looks like an otto to me.

They're so cute. I have 2 and I love them!

Wait for others to respond since I'm not that good at IDing algae eaters.

The first one might be a CAE, but I don't think so. The pic is a bit blurry so hard to tell. The second one doesn't look like a cae at all. It doesn't have the dark stripe along its side like a cae would. and it's belly is much whiter than a normal colored cae's. Do they both have the same type of mouth? Is it a suction cup down or is it more out in front?

Lucy: I love mine, too. =) I hope they are Ottos, so I don't have to rehome them if they get aggressive or too large. I love them ;_;

Gremlin: both mouths are down-turned, and they often attach themselves to the tank glass and suck on it.

I don't think they are cae's. The coloring and marking just isn't right for cae's. Otos would be much better for the smaller tank, so I'm glad that that is what they probably are.

^Me too, very much so. I feel bad enough not having done my research a year and a half ago when I picked them up.

^I am, as well. I stopped by the place where I picked them up a long time ago, and they look just like the Otos they have there now. ^_^
