How does my Oto manage to suspend itself under a leaf like this...

Here is a pic of my Oto hanging out under a leaf. Does anyone know how it holds on? He does it on a couple of other plants and is completely upside down on them. Whenever he is on the glass you can clearly see his mouth sucking him on, but on the plants he is "mouth free" so to speak. He's completely still when he does this too, so its not like hes swimming to stay in that position.

Haha... thanks. Most the people that come round and see my tank, see it under the leaves and say, "is that one dead? Its floating upside down!". When I tell them its normal they pretty much all get transfixed by it. LoL.

My ottos manage to do that somehow, I believe they anchor themselves with their little spiny fins. They are adorable to watch!

yea...mine do that alot too, its those fins by his belly that he uses to attach himself to stuff when going mouthless lol

I cant wait to get some more Oto's so there is a little school of them. Just waiting for my waters to settle after the last additions.

I will try getting a picture of him totally upsidedown if I can.
