Ok so i had 4 oto's in my 35G but when i woke this morning 1 was dead on the bottom with a large poop sticking out of its bum, but the poop was so big it had torn his belly open, my other 3 are all fine so what could have caused this?

Does it look like red worms sticking out?? It could have been camallanus worms if so. If not, he may have been severely constipated??

No worms, im thinkin it was constipated aswel, is there anyway i can prevent the others from constipation?

I dont know if that would be a problem with the other fish unless its being caused by an internal parasite or infection.... maybe he just over ate??

well my tank was almost covered with that algae called diatoms so i got the otos and most of it was gone in 3 days

Hopefully it was just a freak occurence and the rest are in no danger, just keep an eye out for anything unusual =)
