new otto's

okay i bought some algae eaters that were supposed to be otto's guess what they weren't... they were chinese eaters so i kept them until they started getting slighly aggressive.. no injuries just chasing my fish to the point most were hiding refusing to come out.. so i called lfs where i got them and asked if they would take them back... no refund but they said they would take them... yay!! i went to another and got three otto's and a cory for my daughters tank.. i'm sure these lil guys are otto's as now i can tell the difference... they're just swimming everywhere checking out their new home instead of my black skirt tetras and neons hiding everyones out and about which was as soon as the ch. eaters were out of the tank whew those fellas are fast!... tetras seem awfully interested in them i hope the bulling isn't reversed now.. i think it's just more of a who are you thing going on fingers crossed.. they are awfully active lil guys aren't they but at least i can see my other fish no more hiding...

To keep your tanks healthy you need to remember the 1" of adult fish per gallon of tank rule! Corys also need to be kept in groups of at least 3, and it appears your tanks are already fully stocked.

yeah i know but i read on this forum that cory's do fine with one or two in smaller tanks i noticed on gravel cleanings in her tank, i was pulling alot of uneaten food off the gravel and his(cory) diet will be supplemented with hikari algae wafers also.. i stay on top of my water changes 2 a week so i'm sure that's not going to be a problem.. i check my readings 2 x a week as well and after the cycle was complete i have had nothing but perfect readings... hmmm and i thought i was doing a good thing...
