Otto's are great fish. They are shy but they work so hard to eat algea and keep tanks clean. Mine have big fat bellies from their hard work!!!!

If your tank is completely cycled they are a great addition. You should always add 3 - 5 as they do much better in groups, and a 20 gallon tank is fine in size, as long as it isn't overcrowded with other fish.

Make sure that Ottos have algae/algae wafers to eat in your tank.

A planted tank is a must for otos. Also, they are extremely sensitive to water conditions so be sure to keep up with your water readings.
