Can Otos Quarantine in newly cycled bio spira tank??

I want to add a couple of otos to my guppy fry tank ( to help with housekeeping) and also 3 or 4 into my 55. These tanks are both on well water.

If I start a new well water tank and use Bio Spira, can I add the otos and let them quarantine in there? I just pulled down one hospital tank I had, it wasn't cycled, I was changing water every couple of days. I don't want to do that anymore...

The otos that I have in both Wink Jack Sparrow's and Tiny King's tank, were acclimated same as other fish and just put in. In Tiny King's tank OtoC has 2 cories and they play all the time.

In Wink's tank, I just acclimated them and dumped them in. They also play and swim and chase all the time.

I didn't quarantine any of them. ( Beginners luck maybe?)

I am paranoid about introducing anything into the fry tank so that is why I want to quarantine.

Any ideas??

Thanks, Val

Huh? Do you mean 50/50 don't quarantine, or quarantine in new tank and 50/50 they will make it??

You should be fine with your plan.
Since there is only fry and ottos, I would go wityh 1/2 the reccommended amount of Bio Spira.

Val, would you consider having 7 or 8 otos in your 55G? That tanks' big enough for a fair-sized oto school, and they'll be so grateful for the ability to school. You'll just need to make sure there's fresh cucumber at all times, to avoid them starving to death in your algae-free tank (it's quite new, isn't it)?

Am making a side-point, and this is nothign to do with quarantaining and biospira just so you don't get totally confused.
