Actually i haven't tried hand feeding yet! i'm still afraid that i might hurt him!! i wish to try it soon. He likes to rearrage his surroundings and tries to eat anything that moves! often takes some gravels in his mouth and drops them in the corner of the tank and makes a small hill! i like the way he hunts, i feed him guppies just to watch him hunt! Sometimes chases the pleco but never hurmed it.

LOL ...I have mountains not hills when mine rearrange..which is every other day!! they even move big rocks the size of a baseball ..most of my decorations end up on the other side of the tank...they didnt do this for a few years then started it back up again a few months ago....you wont hurt him hand feeding...just hold some pellets right on the water surface and watch him come take them right out of your fingers...mine actually try to lay on my hand although they are twice the size of my hands ....love them oscars!

Neville, Tiger is an awesome looking fish! All of these are great, I wish I had one.
When you guys hand feed, you use sinking pellets I assume? Wouldn't floating ones float out of your palm? I'd like to try hand feeding sometime!

The one other fish that i hand fed was my Goldfish, i used to soak my finger in water and then i stuck some pellets with it and then put my finger in the water! my goldies used to eat the pellets from my finger, i liked it so much!

They are all so beautiful! The baby pictures are too cute. Makes me wish mine were still little. Their personalities are the greatest, though. Awesome oscars everyone!

Since mine are Juvy's I get my fingers wet, and the tiny pellets stick to it, then my oscars come nible if off my finger, RIGHT above the water... AHHH they are SO cool.

Not sure exactly! I asked on a few forums and nobody's really quite sure. If you have any ideas, be sure to tell! My guess it they're simply mutts.
