Hi every body i have a new oscar.Am very happy.My old one died last year .Am not sure how he died...I was so scared to buy a nother one.I said to my self i would not get a oscar but i did.It was so wired not having a oscar in my tank...I like big fish its so relaxing.My new oscar is a girl.I need some nice name for her.The tank is very big with filter and heat and stuff .I have a feeling my girl will live for a long time she pick me i did't pick her...

love!!!!! oscars..congrats....make sure she has a varied diet of meats and veggies...and no feeder fish unless you raise them yourself..I hope she isnt in a 20 gal tank? otherwise, she will not make it in there ......share pics when you can!!!!! im wondering how you know if its a girlie tho...if shes a juvie, oscars are monophonic which means you cant sex them until they spawn....

she is in a 20 gallon tank for now.Am go to put her in a bigger tank when she is bigger.She was the smallest oscar in the tank.she was hidding from the other oscar.Luckly i took her .she will be dead if i did't save her .I give her varied diet .I read info about ocar fish.I know I know dont put a oscar in a small tank...My friend have 76 gallon tank with the stuff that he was go to sale I bout it .So i will put her in the tank .I ask my friend if he can keep the tank for me till she get bigger. I plan in the future where she is going .I care for her a lot and i want her to be happy. o ya i gess the if she is girl lol....

she cant grow up in a 20 gal unfortunately...she will have too much poo and not grow properly...she needs at least a 30-40 gal as a small girl with the 75 gal within the year..her insides will continue to grow when her outside wont...I hope she brings much enjoyment to you!
