I wanted to keep an eel. I dont know yet. Live aquaria says 50g other sites say other wise as for now. Iam going to think only about "intelligent" fish such as the kind who recognize their owners and can be handfed (because its more fun to handfeed and you gotta admit it is) xD I heard eels, cichlids, puffers, and knifes can do that. Which those are the four major groups Iam thinking of. Oh and the bichir too. if I go with a long bodied fish I wanna make it planted. If I go with a knife well << heck with it most of them will be planted but the cichlids. O: Ima see if I can get a bigger fishtank :< atleast a 75g and amanda I haved done alot of research. Most of my questions I already know the answer but I want opinions. And I want to confirm my questions or more likely "answers" I dont or didnt know how to cycle a tank because all we did was use biopsira o.e xD but seeing as Iam still going to get a filtration system ment for a 400g tank x3 to heck with that Iam pretty much set with that fluval 400g canister filter <3 Iam getting two 100watt heaters. and I pretty much have set up ideas. I like cichlids but their violent side needs to be considered because id probably have to use "silk plants" rather than "live" so yeah. Weekly vacuming of gravel should be done until 10-20% of the water has been drained no more than 30% should be done. Unless its really bad. I dont know if the protein skimmers can be used for freshwaters and all those steralizers but yeah. If I can ill try. O: Iam sticking to freshwater all the way.
My only concern is that every fish is different no matter how scientific you put it. All fish think differently and to be honest we dont know their thoughts so yeah. Thats my problem because I wont know which ones are likely to feed and less likely to be hidden when iam there my fishtank is supposed to be a masterpiece for my room O: as well as a pet <3
and sorry if I may sound like a ***** I dont intend to. I really do want my questions answered so I can tell if Iam right or wrong

Since it seems you are into more odd fish that get large, etc why don't you look in to red belly pacu?
They are smaller than oscars.

Just make sure you research before you buy.

If I cant keep an oscar which needs 75g according to you then what makes it possible to own a 200g fish? (not to be disrespectful) Thats why Ived been researching but part of researching are questions. Is it not? Thus I come to sites like these and ask alot. Though the ones in aquatic community are kinda snobbish and pretty rude so yeah (thats my personal opinion not to be held responsible for anything)I dont know which sites are good to trust so yeh

Iam starting to develop again an odd interest in catfish. I still have the jack dempsey in mind but I kinda like predatory fish as well.
