I also like this one but dont know which one has a more pleasant personality towards their owner and less likely to bite. I also seen a guy pet an oscar I dont know if that was good or bad but it peeked my interest at a fish courage.
It looks like a mix of a carp, a sunny, and a oscar to a point(just the red tail xD)
are you serious? I like both fish but probably shouldnt keep them together and Id rather have a lone fish. I like to focus on one particular animal and care for it well except my turtles <3 I have them in a large large tank xD I have 1 res and 2 common musk turtle one adult and one baby <3 But out of those two fish which one is probably more likely to have that attitude as in it wont shy away ever. That kind of draws back from the likelyhood of my wanting it. (Iam like a child x_x a child in an a teens body x_x) I want one of those two fish that probably has a more pleasant personality towards their owner
JD's are mean fish, lol. Green Terrors have that name for a reason.
Petting fish is a very bad idea, as that removes their slime coat.
How so? (about the meaness) x_x I dont want to be bitten the reason I wanted a fish is to reduce stress and okay I wont do it xD I will also tell my friend to stop doing it come tomorrow which is finals finale <3 what is probably the nicest fish that I can keep (towards their owner not other fish) I dont care if their "dirty" or not Iam getting a very good filtration system. I like goldfish but its not of my interest to keep 2-3 goldfish in a very large tank or semi large. This is video of a green terror is funny.
Well....you keep saying nice to the owner...
May I ask why your hand is going to be in the tank anyway?? Unless you're doing a gravel vac, and most fish stay away from a gravel vac. I'm not saying the fish is going to brutally attack you, but it's not a fish that will like you in it's territory. I have a BR Parrot, and he bites me when I have my hand in the tank for any reason, so do my cons. My bettas bite too.

To do weekly maintnance. To try and figure out readings. << Maybe hand feed it. >> xD I know this sounds very well absurd but umm so this what shes doing in this video is bad?
Well seeing as for some reason my right click doesnt work. Do you mind going to youtube look up the user zeplinair and watch her videos on her goldfish she basically pets them and the goldfish keep comming for more. I really dont get that.
also this

You should never pet a fish. Removing the slime coat makes it susceptible to disease, which could kill it.
Hmm good point xD By the way so which of the two are better suited for me? and if I end up going with african cichlids. Which ones will show more activity and interest on outside world?
I think the JD would be better for what you are looking for. The newer strain of Electric Blue JD is more expensive, but if you want a gorgeous fish, it's worth it. Or you can stick with the lesser expensive traditional JD.

Thank you mam' Illg o with Jack dempsey and... can I put plants with it? I like this grassy look on the bottom of this video and the tank is well planted
I'm not sure how a JD would do with live plants.
That tank above looks like a HIGH light tank, probably with CO2 injection.
IMO, if I was going to put that much $$ and effort into a tank, I would keep fish that were garunteed not to destroy it.
