2 tigers in 90gal?

Will 2 tiger oscars be okay in a 90g tank if I over size the filtration and do weekly water changes?

Nick Goody had 2 Oscars in a 90 gal. but they began to get aggressive towards each other.

personally i say stick with just one, IMO two adults would be pretty crowded

Here is why I ask. I had a albino oscar and a common pleco in a 55gal tank when I was in high school(11 years ago). My now wife loved my oscar, sadly he moved on to that big tank in the sky 7 years ago. He was 6. My wife said she would like to get an oscar or two for are bedroom but wont let me go bigger than 90g. Could I keep anything else in the tank if I go with just one tiger?

you could probably get a few pictus cats for the bottom, but make sure that when you buy them you try to get adults rather than juveniles so your oscar doesn't try to eat them!

you can go with two....but it cant be permanent....my two lived a great life in a 75 gal...they even spawned a few times..but its a TON of work and I had to do every other day water changes to keep the ammonia at 0...they can live in the 90 gal for a year although if you went with one, you could maybe get some silver dollars and a jack dempsey to go with him..that was a great tank when I had my two

There are a lot of other fish that can be kept with Oscars, the only one that I had an issue with was, as Amanda said, another Oscar. After a few months one became dominant and spent it's whole time bullying the other, to the point that I gave away the weaker one to a friend with a 90gal. Both my Oscars were the same size and came from the same tank at the store. My remaining Oscar now lives with a Jack Dempsey, Blue Acara, Convict, and a pair of Jewel Cichlids, all of whom he gets on fine with. My theory is that as all these fish are noticably smaller than him he doesn't feel like he has to establish dominance over them as it is clearly HIS territory. I'd go with just the one if I were you, and then maybe some other smaller aggressive Cichlds for tankmates.
