searching through craigslist for fish related items....and came across this ad

unfortunately, i live in a dorm with a max tank size of 20 gallons, and even if i didn't, i dont think i'd have the money or space to rescue three oscars.

as a side note, if anyone in the virginia beach/norfolk/hampton roads area can and is willing to rescue even one of these poor guys that would be really great. three oscars in a 55, i shudder to think

They might be ok for a few months if they're babies, but not for long. Mine are 6 inchs and I've only got 2, but they'd never get along in a 55.

yeah i know.....55 is the bare minimum for just one of those guys, and they grow fast.....

They sure do! Mine have gone from 2 inchs to 6 inchs in about 4 months!

lol yeah i think that's pretty standard for oscars. i think the general rule is to be pretty worried if they haven't grown at least seven inches in a year

Ohhh...that's awful.
If that was closer to me, I'd def. buy that & give the oscars to my LFS.
