OK i got a new Oscar in a big tank with heater and stuff.My Oscar is throw up his food .I give froze krill.I put the krill in warm water then it can be softer.the instinctive told me to do that am doing some wrong. would i give blood worms.Think he is chocking. I need to be sure is go to be fine.He is my first biggest fish . really i don't know what am doing.I got him for Christmas .I did read stuff about this fish but i really need help...I should not have this fish at all am a bad fish owner and i can't call the store because is is Christmas .I should call chrisms eve.... I don't even now how much i have to feed him.

Your Oscar may not like Krill. So he tries it and then spits it out. I would try him with frozen bloodworms he may like that better. You just got him and he is probably just acclimating to his new surroundings and may not even be hungry yet. But I would go to the store tomorrow and pick up some frozen bloodworms for him and a good cichlid pellet type food as well.

they actually spit as much as they swallow..even food comes out their gills when they eat...they are piglets and actually are more dirty than pigs ....the krill will be ok but as kate said, a different variety is best..you probably should measure your tank tho to find out exactly what size he is in..other than "big" its important to make sure he has enough space for his huge bioload ...some of which is his food waste
