Hi, i brought a baby albino Oscar about 2 inchs 2 days ago but i think its not eating his food,(flakes and sticks) he just swims around the tank opening and closing his mouth, is he accumilating to the tank

What are water levels..ammonia, nitrite, nitrate reading? Is he at the top opening and closing his mouth like he's gasping for air?? When you get a chance fill out your aquarium info so members can better help you. . What other fish are in your tank and how big is it??..

Got the same questions as CHoffman. We need an idea of what else is going on in the tank to be able to help.
Another question: Anything odd about the fish? Red spots, missing scales, inflamed gills, clear/white, stringy poo?

It may just be that the Oscar is getting used to the tank. I've never had a fish not eat the day after I get it, but I've heard often enough that it can take a few days for a fish to feel comfortable enough to eat.
