need help with 1 of my oscars

I have these 2 oscars have had them since they were babies so they have grown up together. My white one since our vacation in June 08, has been acting really weird. He wont eat like he used too. maybe a lil here lil there. He gets a wild flare up his but and acts really nuts. He hits the side of the tank jumps out of the water and then floats for a few minutes then hes fine. I have done water changes like I always have and he still acts this way. Maybe every few days and its killing me cause they are huge and beautiful. Any ideas. please help ty in advance.. now mind you the tiger ones completly fine just spooked when the white one acts up.you can email me at iluvlghthses@yahoo.com

welcome to fishlore!!

first everyones going to ask is the tank cycled? and what are your water perimeters..but also let me tell you, thats very normal for oscars...
mine were doing that also...and guess what, I had thousands of eggs! find a flat rock of good size and put it in the tank..after you sterilize it of course, and pour some vinegar on it to make sure it doesnt bubble...then sit back and give it a few days...its totally what mine were doing last week...
