I need advice about moving my oscar to another fish tank

Right now I have 4 inch Oscar and a 4 inch Pleco and I am curious about how to transpot my Oscar and Pleco from one tank to another because in a couple of months I am going to transfer my fishes to a bigger tank across the room

P.S I am thinking about moving them in around 5 months, so will they be to big to move by then?

How big of a tank are they in now? It won't take long for that Oscar to grow to be huge, and if the current tank is too small, it may not survive 5 months.

I would suggest getting a large storage bin (10g or more), filling it with enough water to cover one of the fish (get this water from tank #1), net one fish and place it in this bin. Carefully move bin to near the new tank, and begin acclimating the fish by slowly introducing water from the new tank. Drs Foster and Smith has a great acclimation kit that includes a controllable drip. I would add about twice as much water from the new tank as there was from the old one (drain some from the bin to allow this if you have to). Then net the new fish and gently place in the new tank.
Repeat for fish #2.

Right now they are in a 55 gallon tank and will a 75 gallon tank be big enough for them?
