Golden clams housed with Oscar?

Will my oscars (only 2.5 inchs) leave golden clams alone? Has anyone tried them as tankmates?

I am afrid of my oscar throwing the clams around the tank (and at the glass) once he is older...

Thanks!

i dont think there are a whole lot of people i know that keep freshwater calms,
personaly i think that if it didnt bother it when it was younger it might when its older.. but maybe keeping it with it while the ocscar is small might help in the long run. i dont really know what to tell you becusse the freshwater calmsarent the common or easy to find. dino or cwc might be able to help more

Thanks..

I am buying them online, and min order is 10 (I'll put several in each on my tanks)...I am just worried about coming home to a broke tank and dead fish.

Would an Oscar be able to throw the clam, in an effort to break it once he is older?

well idk. see a feeder fish moves around alot which draws attention to it. a clam pretty much burrows itself in the gravel ad filter feeds i believe. now will the ocscar to that great of a effort as to pick it up and throw it. i dont think that the ocscar could actully throw it hard enough to do so. i dont think it could have enough froce to do it. not with the water in there. but im still not sure if the oscar would made a meal out of the clam. i have my doubts both ways i think the oscar might just not care, or it might bug it. il lhave to ask chief or dino about it
