I have tried to feed my oscar Cichlid Flakes but he ignores it and only eat live fish. Should I try to get him Cichlid Pellets or what? PLEASE HELP ME

I feed my Oscar and Dempsey "Hikari" brand mini and medium pellets (Cichlid Gold and Cichlid staple) I also give them freeze dried krill as a snack once in awhile. My oscar and dempsey are also rather small right now. about 2-3 inches.

Mine was doing the same thing, just after I got him. What I did was stand my ground. I put the food he was supposed to eat in the tank, if he didn't eat it...he didn't eat.

Trust me, after two days, he'll eat. Mine did and will eat krill and pellets any time. You have to train them for it, and don't give in....or they'll never eat anything but live fish.
